Val Thorens

Along with Les Menuires, Val Thorens is at the top of the most westerly of the three Valleys - Vallee de Belleville. With the village situated at 2300 metres and the highest run starting at 3200 metres, this is another resort that can boast an excellent snow record. With access to Meribel and Courchevel, the variety of terrain is huge. Val Thorens has its own snowboard park which is right near the town. It is well appointed with bars, restaurants and nightclubs but is certainly not the most attractive looking resort. Be aware that It can be very cold here at night and the drive up from Moutiers takes around 45 minutes on a good day.
