Peisey/Vallandry

Situated at the southern end of Les Arcs, Peisey and Vallandry are slap bang in the middle of the massive Paradiski area being, as they are, right next to the La Plagne link. Made up of several villages, Plan Peisey and Vallandry (adjacent to each other) are the only ones that are actually on the slopes and certainly boast the best nightlife/shopping. We personally recommend The Bar du Mont Blanc for all your drinking needs! Peisey itself is lower down but does have lift access and a couple of bars/restaurants. The smaller town of Nancroix is very picturesque but the lifts are a short bus ride away (you can ski down to Nancroix but the route is entirely off piste). It also has no shops - seriously, you can't even buy a loaf of bread! The skiing around here is exceptional with loads of tree runs and the Villages themselves consist mainly of traditionally built chalets.
