Grenoble Airport

Do not be mislead by the map, Grenoble Airport is actually situated approximately half-way between the cities of Grenoble and Lyon so transfers from here may take longer than you think.
The airport itself is similar in size to Chambery with only one shop and one bar but definitely significantly quieter! Airlines using this detsination include EasyJet and Ryan Air.
There are two routes available from here either on the motorway (faster by 10-15 mins) or the more direct and very picturesque route through Chartreuse. Your driver will be happy to take either provided there are no time constraints.

Les Menuires

Les Menuires, along with Val Thorens and St. Martin, make up the westerly of the Three Valley's - Vallee de Belleville. Probably the worst of the many ugly looking resorts in the area, it nonetheless has a full compliment of bars, restaurants, clubs and many high rise appartment blocks. As with all resorts in the Three Valleys, the terrain for skiing and snowboarding is hugely varied. The area immediately around Les menuires is also extensively covered with snow canons so that even in poor seasons, there is usually no problem with skiing right into the town.
